The "ω Player" application includes the Auro-Scene function for virtual playback of a 3D audio space from two speakers, the Auro-HeadPhones function for 3D audio playback from headphones, and the AURO-3D function for 3D audio playback directly from a multi-channel audio interface connected to a PC. This is the first time in the world*7 that these functions are provided as a PC application. The combination of "ω Player" and "SmartSTREAM," a video distribution service that supports distribution of high-resolution sound sources using MPEG-4 ALS lossless compression technology, will enable customers to easily view high-resolution sound sources and 3D audio content with high sound quality and realism.
